This year’s #SuperBowl was eventful on and off the field from major wins, bomb performances, comments and rumors galore. Good times indeed but the stretch of the truth combined with speculations must always be addressed head on!
Artist and mogul , #JayZ recently appeared for an interview at the prestigious University of Columbia Tuesday evening, reports NBC News. Upon one of the many questions answered lingered the very pressing topic pertaining to the viral TMZ captured footage of Jay alongside his wife #Beyonce and eldest daughter #BlueIvy sitting during the National anthem.
What many including us (our bad) deemed as protesting Jay declared as simply untrue. “It wasn’t. Sorry, “It really wasn’t.” He goes on to state, “I’m looking at the show. ‘Did the mic start? Was it too low to start?'” he said.
“The whole time we’re sitting there, we’re talking about the performance. Then right after that, Demi comes out, and we’re talking about how beautiful she looks and how she sounds and what she’s gone through in her life for her to be on the stage,” he continued. “We’re so proud of her.”
Jay is currently in partnership with the NFL under his record label of Roc Nation. He states that him and Beyonce sitting were them honestly making sure everything ran smoothly as they were literally enjoying the show. Jay also notes that if they were protesting they would not involve their daughter into their decisions.
“I didn’t have to make a silent protest. If you look at the stage, the artists that we chose, Colombian Shakira, Puerto Rican J-Lo. We were making the biggest loudest protest of all,” he concludes.
