The city of #Cincinnati is next in line to step into the light and ban all discrimination against #NaturalHair !

The #AtlantaBlackStar reports that a 7-1 Cincinnati City Council decision was declared on Oct. 16th making the discriminative ban official within the city of Ohio.

Sources have indicated that Councilman Chris Seelbach, was pleased with the overall decision and believes that the ban will bring society,” one more step along an important path toward leveling the playing field in the community.”

“I wish this was an unanimous vote,” Seelbach states. “It’s disappointing that it’s not, but I’m glad it’s going to pass with seven votes.”

It has been confirmed that the single vote objecting against the ban came from Council-member Amy Murray, who just so happens to be a white woman. She argued that the ban is already intertwined with both federal and state laws.

Seelbach’s response to Murray’s argument was “With all due respect, this is extreme privilege and a slap in the face to African-American women, whose stories I have heard and are degrading and horrible.”

Reports read that under the new ban, if an instance of verified discrimination occurs a fine of $100 per day up to $1,000 will be enforced until the ordeal is addressed completely.
