When we think of #RussellWilson it’s often natural to identify him as a man who is not only an exemplary father and husband but also an impactful National Football League all-star. Within a recent announcement, we’ve been informed that it’s only right to add a bit more respect on his name now and when we say say little we actually mean a whole lot!
According to #YahooNews ; Wilson, 30 Quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks took to twitter early Tuesday morning to announce some major news. Upon the upcoming season Wilson is set to sign an extended contract which has landed him a $140 million deal and $ 65 million signing bonus. Wilson has officially been deemed the highest paid player in the NFL, knocking the former record holder Aaron Rodgers of the Green-bay Packers out of the water. Sources have indicated that Rodgers previously held the title of the highest paid nfl played after signing a $134 million contract with a $57.5 million dollar signing bonus.
Wilson initially joined the Seahawks in the summer of 2015; previously signing a 4 year contract for $87.6 million dollars which was set to expire after the upcoming season. Sources have indicated that Wilson alongside his agent Mark Rodgers established the deadline date of April 15th for a new deal. The deal was forwarded in full April 15th at midnight! Wilson is set receive $35 million per year in average.
