Atlanta Family’s Turks & Caicos Getaway Turns Into Nightmare After 7 Armed Men Invade Their Airbnb!

What was supposed to be a relaxing birthday getaway in Turks & Caicos quickly turned into a real life nightmare!

According to FOX 5 Atlanta news; a group of seven masked men invaded a beachfront located Airbnb occupied by an Atlanta family. Surveillance footage also showed the group of men watching the family for nearly 30 half and hour before the attack.

The men were armed with guns and machetes as they entered the home. Sources state, the family told officials they were ordered not to move as the group moved throughout the beachfront property robbing them of their money, passports, jewelry, purses and cell phones.

Authorities say the men threatened to kill them during the invasion and even hit one of the women in the head with a gun.

Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force has confirmed that one suspect was arrested in connection with the September 6 incident. The unidentified male has been charged with aggravated burglary, as investigators continue searching for the other gunmen involved.

“We are supporting our guest following this distressing report, which includes providing a full refund for their stay,” reads a statement from Airbnb to Fox. “Safety is a top priority for us, and while incidents like this are incredibly rare, we take them seriously. We stand ready to assist law enforcement with their investigation.”
