50 Cent Reveals He Was In Communication With Cassie And Her Husband Alex Fine For ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’ Documentary!

50 Cent is pulling back the curtain on the  behind-the-scenes work that went into shaping the explosive ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’ docuseries!

In an interview with Us Weekly, 50 explained how different conversations played a pivotal role leading up to the release of the project.

As executive producer, 50 says he wasn’t relying on surface-level research or secondhand information. Instead, he went straight to the source, revealing that he had been in communication with Cassie and her husband, Alex Fine, while preparing the project, tapping into their firsthand knowledge to help shape the documentary’s timeline and context around the allegations tied to Diddy.

He explained that speaking with the couple was a necessary step to fully understand the depth of Cassie’s experiences and the events that unfolded during her relationship with Combs. “I think she’s going to understand it,” he said when asked how Cassie might feel about the documentary’s portrayal. “It was important [that I] spoke to her to understand how things transpired.”

He adds, “We had separate, individual communication. When you hear things multiple times from different people, it rings true.”

‘The Reckoning’ allows viewers to take a deep dive into Diddy’s personal life and career from childhood through adulthood, which 50 notes is a key element of understanding.

“The things you go through make you who you are. You can’t understand a man without understanding where he came from,” He explains that the documentary, “doesn’t shy away from any part of his legacy—the success, the trauma, the power, the contradictions.”
