Noir Nation, things are getting tense in court as Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team goes on the offensive—this time, pushing back on explosive testimony from former Danity Kane member, Dawn Richard.
As previously reported, Dawn shocked many when she took the stand last week, alleging that she witnessed Diddy physically abuse Cassie, including a chilling moment where she claimed he hit Cassie with a frying pan. She also stated that Diddy once warned her that “where he’s from, people go missing if they talk.”
But on Monday, Diddy’s legal team wasn’t having it.
🎤 CROSS-EXAMINATION HEATS UP
In court, Diddy’s attorneys wasted no time challenging Dawn’s credibility, citing “multiple inconsistencies” between her initial statements and her sworn testimony.
“You are aware there’s a motion to dismiss your lawsuit?” asked Diddy’s attorney during cross examination
“You sat with the prosecutors and your allegations have changed?”
Dawn stood firm under pressure, stating,
“I’ve been consistent.”
Diddy’s legal team proceeded to highlight different details from Dawn’s testimony including the frying pan incident between him and Cassie. Dawn was also questioned about her previous statement as she declared Diddy advised her to keep quiet about the alleged incident and how people go missing where he’s from for running their mouths.
Dawn reiterated that she had been traumatized by the events and was only now beginning to fully process them as more victims came forward.

Dawn also told the court that Diddy maintained a culture of fear and silence around him, especially when it came to Cassie. She described one specific moment of terror, recalling that after Cassie attempted to speak up, Diddy slammed furniture against the wall and screamed at her to “shut up.”

While speaking with the Assistant US Attorney, Dawn revealed that Cassie gave her the strength to speak out against Diddy. In her testimony she further reflected on claims of witnessing abuse Cassie for years and that no one in his camp stepped in.
“I saw Ms. Ventura take the stand and tell the truth—–,” said Dawn.
