Black fashion took center stage at the 2025 Met Gala; effortlessly shattering records in celebration of style, legacy, and the influence of Black culture!

This year’s Met Gala was one for the books; raking up over $30M with their iconic theme of ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.’ The star-studded event delivered iconic red carpet looks all in the name of Black innovation.

From Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Zendaya, Cardi B, Damson Idris, Teyana Taylor, Kim Kardashian, Lala Anthony, Lizzo, Tyler Perry, Future, Mary J Blige and more; the looks were truly endless.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art received a total of $31M, calmly stepping on last year’s $26M in fundraising, reports Radar Online. With A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, and LeBron James, the assignment was understood and executed.

Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour expressed in a Good Morning America interview ahead of this year’s gala that the theme was, “particularly meaningful and emotional,” she explained that “the Black fashion community needs to be supported as much as possible.”

“What I’m hoping that this exhibition will do is really put a light on the talent of all these arbiters of style,” Anna added. “And look at their traditions and their history and their culture. But most importantly to me, in a way, is when I look at the show I see freedom. I see liberation. I see hope. I see respect. And I see joy.”
