A rep for Santana tells TMZ, that the Tuesday (April 22nd) incident took place at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, Texas during a scheduled sound check. The San Antonio Fire Department tells the outlet that they responded to a call regarding an elderly patient that fainted.
Sources state that Santana suffered a medical emergency while practicing and had to be taken out of the back of the venue by a gurney.
Santana was placed in an ambulance and transported to the nearest hospital where he is receiving medical attention. It has been suggested that the 77-year-old is suffering from an extreme case of dehydration, however, it has not yet been determined.
