The suspense is high, and so is the action in BET +’s new crime and murder film, ‘The Accused’!

Emmy nominated Actress Crystal Lee Brown walked us through how she mentally, physically, and emotionally prepared for her role as laboratory manager Victoria Goode.

Victoria’s character is a strong strong-minded, determined woman with a multidimensional personality. She is fully equipped to use her charm and calmness for her benefit and takes no prisoners in doing so.

“—mentally, you have to live and breathe and think like the character, to justify all the things that that you do, all the things that you say physically.”

Crystal added, “I mean, I like to work out, so l go hiking every morning. So that was very helpful in this movie to just have the stamina to to, you know, live in the action, and always be in the suspense of the thing. So I think mental focus and physical, physical agility are the two things that are most important.”

‘The Accused’ written by Pat White based on a screenplay, stars Paige Audrey Marie Hurd, Crystal Lee Brown, Summer Crockett Moore, and Lawrence Saint-Victor takes a deep dive into a woman’s life as an exceptional plant geneticist whose world is turned completely upside down when she is framed for her fiance’s murder.
