Redman is opening up about the evolution of his and Method Man‘s relationship as longtime collaborators and friends while revealing that they no longer kick it!
In an interview on the ‘Julian Dorsey Podcast,’ Redman was asked how he and Meth originally met and do they still hang out. “ Hell no,” he responded.
“We do shows and we come back home. I don’t hang out with a lot of rappers at all. This is work, this is home. We’re very inclusive with our movement,” Redman explained the Importance of balancing boundaries between his career and personal life.
“Once we’re off the road, we’re like ‘Alright. You got family to deal with, I got sh*t I gotta do. My circle is very small. So we all have different lives outside of their musical endeavors.”
He adds, “Once we’re off the road, we’re like, ‘Alright. You got family to deal with, I got stuff I gotta do.”
Redman shares that he does have a friendship with fellow artists who he is connected to. “There’s a lot of MCs who I’m connected with. Of course, Wu-Tang Clan is my crew, but I don’t generally hang out with rappers. The only artists I spend time with are my boy DoItAll from Lords of The Underground and Treach if I see him around, and Kid Capri, who is like a big brother to me.”
