Noir Nation; with continuous tension rising in the U.S. in response to the Trump administration’s deportation order and unexpected raids; three Philadelphia students are currently under investigation after showing up to a college campus dressed as ICE agents!

According to ABC News, two students and one former student arrived at Temple University on Saturday, February 1st dressed in shirts with the word ‘POLICE’ in the front and ‘ICE’ in the back. Officials state that two students approached campus security guards in an attempt to enter Johnson & Hardwick Residence Hall. Reports read that the two males identified themselves as deportation agents as another male stayed behind to record the interaction.

After being denied access, the three males are said to have driven away in a Jaguar SUV. Later that evening an alert was shared that people impersonating U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers were reported at an Insomnia Cookie on Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

“It is deeply troubling and disappointing to know behavior like this reportedly occurred on our campus,” Temple police said.

Two of the three males left the area in a light-colored SUV before police arrived on the scene. Police state that 22-year-old Aidan Steigelmann was identified, and arrested and his vehicle was towed, reports Fox News.

“The involved student is on interim suspension. Any student found responsible for this conduct will be subject to disciplinary action under the Student Conduct Code, up to and including expulsion,” said Temple University in a released statement.

Sources state that there is an active investigation underway and that the two remaining suspects have been identified but remain at large.

An ICE spokesperson has shared a statement in response to the incident, “The impersonation of any law enforcement officer is not only dangerous, but illegal, and imposters may be charged under federal law 18 USC 912. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and agents are highly trained and dedicated professionals who are sworn to uphold the law, protect the American people, and support U.S. national security. Anyone who suspects they have encountered an imposter is encouraged to contact local law enforcement.”

The Philadelphia Police Department is asking anyone with information about this case to report it to 215-686-TIPS (8477).
