Tia Mowry Addresses Her Previous Comments About Not Being Close To Tamera Mowry, “It’s Called Life”

Tia Mowry is officially speaking out regarding her relationship with her twin sister Tamera Mowry after making headlines over the weekend!

A part of the teaser for her WeTV docu series ‘Tia Mowry: My Next Act’ the 46-year-old expressed that she wished she was as close to Tamera as they once were. “I wish I could pick up the phone and call her, but that’s just not where we are right now,” said Tia while reflecting on her newfound journey following her divorce from Cory Hardrict.

In a new interview with US Magazine, Tia took the time to explain her statement while assuring that the sisterly love her and Tamera shares is still stronger than ever. “You could hear it from me, and this is basically what I was insinuating: I feel like as we grow up, we all start our own families and their children need to lean on them. We begin to take on new roles and responsibilities within our lives. That is what that was all about.”

Tia further explained that she lives in Los Angeles with her two kids Cree and Cairo. Their younger brother Tahj Mowry and their father Timothy Mowry also live in LA. While Tamera lives in Napa with her husband Adam Housley and their two children Aden and Ariah. The twins’ older brother Tavior Mowry lives in Tennessee with his family.

“In these transitions in life, sometimes you just want a hug and you just want someone to be as accessible as they used to be, and that is not the case,” Tia stated. “It’s called life.”

“I love my sister very much. She loves me very much,” she added. “We have a closeness and a beautiful connection. But that’s what that was all about. It’s just how life unfolds, and it happens with many families.”

Tia went on to detail her reaction to trending headlines regarding the twins relationship as she explained why she is not at all surprised.

 “When you’ve been in this industry for over 30 years, things are always taken out of context and it is what it is,” said Tia. “The only thing that I can do is control my behaviors and be the best person that I could possibly be, and that’s what both of us are. We are incredible, inspiring examples, and we have been that all our lives. So, why change that now?”
