Quincy Brown Opens Up About His Evolving Relationship With His Biological Father Al B Sure!

Quincy Brown has recently up about the journey of healing and evolution of his relationship with his biological father Al B Sure!

While appearing on an episode of Angela Yee’s podcast ‘Lip Service’ Quincy reflected on reconnecting with his father after years of an estranged relationship.

Within the interview, Angela had asked about the 2009 open letter Quincy had penned to Al as he expressed how the singer’s absence from his childhood affected him. He also expressed his gratitude to Diddy for the role he played in his life as he began dating his mother Kim Porter when he was just a little boy.

“I’m a human being, so of course hearing about any family member being disappointed with you is devastating. But what can you do? I’m a human being, and my job is to fix it,” said Al in response to Quincy’s letter in a previous interview with Essence magazine.

Thankfully time has allowed the father and son to repair their relationship. “I think we’ve got a cool relationship now,” said Quincy in the September 17th aired episode. “He tends to try to do the ‘dad thing’ a lot, but that’s not really where we’re at in life.

“We’re more like homies now. We go do things together, and I feel like we’re really getting to know each other as two grown men. We can talk about anything and everything.”
