Cousins! Lee Daniels has dropped another Easter egg as folks wonder what’s going on with his fan-favorite series Star!

While appearing in a recent interview Lee confirms a film is on the way and that he’s working hard to get early production off the ground.

The 64-year-old also shares that he didn’t know the worldwide love the show received would be so overwhelming and that he was upset that Fox decided to pull the plug.

Lee says that though he’s aiming for one episode/movie-type wrap up he’s hopeful the show will expand into a series once again.

Original cast members Jude Demorest, Quincy Brown, Amiyah Scott and Queen Latifah also flocked to Lee’s comment section sharing heart emojis and gifs of excitement.

Star officially ended in 2019 following three explosive seasons and a long list of cliffhangers. The series cancelation shocked fans around the world as they continued to voice their sadness of the characters journey coming to an unexpected end.

As we previously reported Lee had attempted to shop the series around to different networks following the series’ abrupt ending but unfortunately fell short. He did promise to fans five years ago that the show would make a comeback, however, vague details are all that have been issued so far.
