Cousins, Ice Spice is opening up about feeling betrayed after private text messages between her and her former friend Baby Storme were shared online as a play for revenge!

As we previously reported Storme shared a text thread back in May between herself and Ice as the rapper vented to her about an alleged signing deal with #NickiMinaj. While reflecting on the shared texts for the very first time publicly, Ice admitted to calling Nicki both ungrateful and delusional.

“I don’t really think she cares about sh*t like that coming from a random girl. But what I said in those texts was just in a moment of frustration around contract negotiations,” Ice explained. “But at the end of the day, regardless of how I felt in that moment, [Nicki] is still somebody I respect as an artist, and I’m always going to admire everything she’s done for me and the culture.”

When asked about the current status of their friendship Ice explained that the two are good. “We don’t have the closest relationship, you know? But we’re definitely good. We’re mutuals. We had smash records together. I love us together, I think the world does, too.”

As we previously reported, Storme set the internet a flame after she shared numerous conversations between her and Ice on Twitter X. The texts included Ice speaking on her relationship with her siblings, her mother and other parties close to her.

When asked what was the reason behind her actions, Storme explained that the two had a falling out of some sort.

“Her claiming I was her “best friend,” (I never claimed that btw,) then becoming best friends with the racist white girl who made my childhood a living hell, just to spite me.”

“After she used my connections & resources that I worked so hard for to make her way to the top, & tried to stop my career from ever flourishing. That’s the only reason she shouted out Lucy in that song. I’m done talking about her. Truth wins in the end. R.I.P to that shitty “friendship,” she tweeted.

Despite her and Nicki remaining cool with one another, Ice confirms that her friendship with Storme is a thing of the past. “I think that the saddest part of the whole situation, it’s somebody I knew for so many years and called my friend had me open up and be vulnerable with them, and then took complete advantage of that for her own benefit,” she said.

“So that was the saddest part really, just feeling used, basically.”
