Cousins! 50 Cent took center stage at the Power Book 2 : Ghost premiere in NYC for the series ten year anniversary as he got a couple things off his chest!

Serving as an original executive producer, 50 shared the origin story of how the entire franchise came about as well as his continuous online tussle with the Starz network.

“This is me packing my stuff, STARZ. Sucks, my deal is up over here I’m out,” wrote 50 back in 2022 within a deleted post. “They Renewed High town and FORCE is the highest rated show they have it sitting in limbo. If I told you how much dumb sh*t I deal with over here.”

The Queens, New York native revealed to Power Book 2: Ghost attendees that he has since apologized and now looks at his issues with the network and executives from a different prospective.

“I feel a lot more comfortable with them. I was ready. I even expressed being upset at any point. And why I’m not expressing.”

50 admitted that his previous issues derived from not feeling as if the network allowed him to be his authentic self despite the show’s chart-topping ratings.

“I talked to him on Facetime and I told him.”

“I wanna apologize to you because it was your money, right? And I said——-but I do wanna tell you that you’ve redefined my definition of rich. Because I’ve never seen anyone lose so much motherf*cking money,” 50 said jokingly.

In 2018 50 signed a four-year deal with Starz for 150 million dollars, reports Yahoo News.

Throughout their time together 50 has executive produced the fan-favorite series ‘Power’ which debuted in 2014 and concluded in 2020 after six groundbreaking seasons. He went on to produce the crime series of ‘BMF’ while also expanding the Power universe with three spin-offs: Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season
