Cousins! Apparently, things got a little too lit at the Power Book 2: Ghost premiere in New York City, as actor Malcolm Mays was spotted tussling with security at the venue as well NYPD the police!
Within a now viral video clip shared on Instagram of the June 6th encounter, ‘The Raising Kanan’ actor could be heard saying, “I’m trying to tell you,” as he exited the venue.
Malcolm held both of his hands up as officers grabbed his arms tightly on opposite side of one another. After the officers let go of him, they closed off two steel barricades.
The 34-year-old turned towards the venue and approached the two white officers and said, “All you n*ggas are b*tches,” he also turned to a Black man dressed in a Black suit and stated, “They can’t protect you.”
Malcom began to walk away from the venue space but turned back around shortly as he approached the barricades to address the officers once more.
He then questioned the officers and asked them if they knew who he was. When the officers said no the 34-year-old then shouted,” And that’s the problem you just listen to whoever is talking to you, but when I talk, you don’t want to listen, right ?
“Cause I’m a Black man, but this motherf*cker got a suit on, so you listen to his b*tch a**!”
As of right now, Malcom hasn’t yet publicly addressed the New York City dispute. From the look of things, it appears that Malcolm felt that he was being treated unfairly by the police and that there was an issue of some sort with the venue’s security guard.
Cousins, we’ll keep you guys locked in for all updates!
