Cousins! A judge has ordered Terrence Howard to pay up as he is currently being accused of owing nearly a decade’s worth of back taxes!

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer along with back taxes, the former Empire star is being ordered to pay for accumulated interest and penalties.

“For more than a year, the 54-year-old star of the TV hit ‘Empire,’ whose last listed address was in Plymouth Meeting, rebuffed IRS efforts to collect $578,000 in income taxes it says he failed to pay between 2010 and 2019,” the Inquirer reported.

In response Terrence is said to have fired back at a Justice Department lawyer, stating that it is “immoral for the United States government to charge taxes to the descendants of slaves.”

Reports read that Terrence has successfully avoided the IRS’s multiple attempts to collect $578,000 throughout the years. It has been indicated that the 54-year-old owes taxes ranging from 2010 through 2019.

After multiple failed attempts, the Justice Department filed a lawsuit against Terrence in 2022. He is said to have left a voicemail to the head attorney on the case late last year with threats to take legal action of his own.

“Four hundred years of forced labor and never receiving any compensation for it,” said Terrence in an allegedly voicemail. “Now you have the gall to try and prosecute and charge taxes to the descendants of a broken people that you are responsible for causing the breakage.

He continued within the alleged voicemail, “In truth, the entire United States should, by default, become the property of the descendants of slaves,” he said. “But since you do not have the ability [or] the courage to do it, let’s try this in court. We’re gonna bring you down.”
