Cousins! MoNique took the stage during a show this weekend as she publicly responded once more to her son Shalon Jackson‘s TikTok videos of him speaking on their estranged relationship!

Within the video clip shared to Instagram, Mo’Nique speaks on an interaction she had with an 80 year old woman and the words of advice received regarding her eldest son.

The 56-year-old says that the woman told her that she can relate to her current situation as she has a grown son of 60 years old who complains of her shortcomings as a mother with stories from when he was a child. Mo’Nique says that the elderly woman told her “F**k that n****a” in which replied “ F*** them kids!”

As we previously reported MoNique ‘s statements regarding her eldest son and their relationship have trend throughout social media all week as he has come forward to say that neither of them has shown interest in making amends.

Shalon took to TikTok early Tuesday morning within a now-viral video responding to Mo’Nique’s appearance on ‘Club Shay Shay’. “I would like to free her from having to continue telling that lie,” said Shalon as he called out Mo’Nique for what he described as a fabricated narrative regarding her parenting.

“Faith without work is dead, and neither one of us cares to put forth any effort to reconcile with the other. We are separate as she put it because she doesn’t care to be my mother any more than I care to be her son,” he added.

As the nearly ten-minute video began to rack up views and shares online, Mo’Nique and her husband Sidney Hicks took to Instagram to address Shalon’s comments. Together the two expressed that they care deeply for him and that they wish he would’ve chosen a private route to discuss their differences.

In another post to social media the following day Mo’Nique shared a text thread between her and Shalon from nearly three years ago that she referred to as receipts.

“”I guess the intelligent thing to do when assuming your son is having a mental episode is post personal messages that are three years old,” said Shalon in a follow up video.

Social media users were also unmoved by Mo’Nique ‘s attempt to clear her name as a mother as a Instagram user wrote, “Monique these texts are 3 years old most of which you’re missing his calls and never calling him back. Why is that?”
