Cousins! A Mississippi grandmother has sadly been left with a broken heart while continuing to search for her daughter and her young grandson have been reported missing!

Shelita Gipson tells local officials that she hasn’t seen her daughter Gerrielle German and her son Ashton in quite some time. She says that Gerrielle joined an online cult near St Louis and hasn’t been seen since.

“I would like to know that they’re OK so that I can get a good night’s sleep. I just want to know if she’s okay, if the baby is okay if they need anything…”

“Are they cold, are they hungry, is she dead, is she alive? That’s all I need to know.——That no one is making her do things that she would have to pay for in the long run,” says Shelita as she expresses her determination to locate her loved ones.

Shelita has informed Horn Lake police that Gerrielle left the area in July alongside her son and an unnamed friend traveling to Berkeley, Missouri while leaving her 4 year old daughter behind.

Back in August, they were last seen at a home located in Berkeley.

Shelita also claims that self-proclaimed prophet amd influencer Rashad Jamal and his “spiritual journey” are connected to her daughter’s disappearance.

Officials confirm that Rashad is currently serving out an 18-year prison sentence in Georgia on charges of child molestation and cruelty to children. Since his August sentencing, Rashad has recorded his teachings by phone from prison.

Rashad has maintained his innocence as he’s launched an online petition advocating for his freedom.

“Rashad Jamal born ” Rashad Jamal White ” is a Black Activist / Spiritual Guru / Cosmic Scientist / Poet / Philanthropist from Chicago,IL. After enduring the hardships of growing up in a gang infested city and being forced to live with the daily trauma of violence in murder,” reads the petition’s description.

“Jamal relocated to Atlanta,GA in 2017 in order to make a better way for himself, his family and his kids.Rashad refused to allow his kids to grow up in the same conditions he had to experience as a black youth in the mean streets of Chicago. Heavily inspired by the history of African Americans and the oppression they have faced since time immemorial, this led Rashad Jamal down the path of activism which he would later become world renowned for.”

Captain Jody Keene of Horn Lake Police, says Gerielle’s ex-husband informed them that she had left for a “spiritual journey.”

Horn Lake Police says that the investigation has been handed to the Berkeley Police along with the FBI.

Officials are also actively searching for other people who have been reported missing since joining the online cult.
