Baby Face Set To Host “Waiting To Exhale” Instagram Live Listening Special!

Can we all agree that the recent songwriters battle between musician elites #TeddyRiley verses Kenneth #BabyFace Edmonds has left our souls sincerely fulfilled but also wanting more? Well it appears that our prayers have been answered, as Babyface has recently announced an up and coming Instagram special guaranteed to have us in our feelings!

Babyface recently made a virtual appearance on the morning talk show The View on April 28th to reveal that he is set to host a live listening party on Mother’s Day of the legendary 90’s film Waiting To Exhale official soundtrack.

The album includes memorable songs such as Mary J Blidge’s “Not Gon Cry” , Brandy’s “ Sitting Up In My Room” accompanied by features from powerhouse artists such as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Toni Braxton and more, reports BET News.

Babyface states, “There were so many people on Instagram Live that wanted to hear music from the ‘Waiting to Exhale’ [soundtrack] and so I thought this would be great, Mother’s Day, to play the ‘Waiting to Exhale’ album, to tell stories, tell how it all happened and talk about the artists.”

Within the interview, Babyface also speaks on his recent battle with #COVID19 following his return from a trip to Las Vegas and the necessary precautions he took in order to fully recover. He notes that it took him and his wife Nicole Patenburg 10 days to receive their diagnosis and that he spent a total of 17 days within his studio under self quarantine.

“You don’t know exactly what’s going to hit you because I have some friends that actually got really sick and I have some people back at home in Indiana, some people that I know that actually passed away.”

“The biggest thing is you don’t know where it comes from. To this day, I still don’t know how I got it or how Nikki got it and we thank God that we got through it, and thank God we got the mild version of it but who’s to know. The main thing is that it’s real and it can happen.”
