Nearly 7,000 Pounds Of Ground Beef Sold Across The U.S Recalled Following Concerns Of Possible E. coli Contamination!

Cousins! The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDS) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a recall for roughly 7,000 pounds of ground beef regarding concerns of E.coli!

The FSIS announced Wednesday morning that around 6,768 pounds of raw ground beef produced by the company Valley Meats, LLC on December 22, 2023, could possibly be infected with E. coli, reports USA Today.

Sources state that the packaging of the contaminated products read the establishment number “EST. 5712” on the USDA marks of inspection sticker. The product has been shipped to distributors located in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Michigan and is scheduled to be issued to restaurants and local establishments in the area.

Thankfully there have been no reports in connection to the associated meat at this time. It has been indicated that the surfaced contamination was detected within a routine testing.

Administrators believe that the distributed products are more than likely occupying fridges and freezers. Consumers have been advised to dispose of or return the products from the store it was purchased from.
