Las Vegas Woman Who Previously Claimed She Was Too Pretty To Be Arrested, Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison For Murdering Her Mother!

Cousins! A Las Vegas woman who previously claimed she was harassed by local police because they allegedly never witnessed anyone as pretty as her, received a 15-year prison sentence for the brutal murder of her mother!

According to the New York Post, Hend Karim Bustami pleaded guilty to second-degree murder upon claims of being mentally ill in the October 2022 murder of her mom Afaf Hussanen. Sources state that Hend had initially pleaded not guilty back in March when she was indicted by a grand jury.

Through obtained court documents, Hend was determined to be mentally well enough to stand trial, despite her public defender indicating that a psychologist “found her experiencing ‘intermittent exacerbations of psychosis’ and ‘in need of continuing psychiatric treatment,” reports 8 News Now.

Reports read that the 29-year-old was arrested near Barstow, California around 5:30 a.m. in August 2022. She had previously contacted the Las Vegas police three hours earlier stating that she had killed her mother.

“Do you need police, fire, or medical?” said dispatch within a recorded call between Hend and a 911 operator played by Prosecutors during the trial.

“Uh, medical,” Hend responded, “I think I killed my mommy.”

“Why do you think you killed your mom?” the dispatcher then asked.

“Because I did. I murdered her,” Hend replied.

It has been stated upon officers’ arrival they discovered the 62-year-old woman with various gashes on her body. She had been pronounced dead at the scene.

According to court records, Hend was later arrested during a traffic stop covered in blood as she admitted to Barstow Police Department and the California Highway Patrol that she had killed her mother.

It has been indicated that the two women had a verbal altercation that turned physical.

During her sentencing Hend also pleaded guilty to charges of burglary, invasion of the home, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, sale of a controlled substance, or gaming crimes. She is said to have had prior felony convictions.

The University of Nevada-Las Vegas graduate was arrested at the Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport near the airport’s baggage claim area after failing to pay her bill at a Chili’s Tex-Mex outpost. Hend was discovered sleeping.

During haver arrest Hend became enraged while threatening to spit on the officers. She was heard saying, the “‘officers were perverts and were trying to rape her because they [had] never seen anyone as good-looking,” reports 8 Now News.

Hend will be eligible for parole in 2037 reports 8 News Now.
