Cousins, Ashanti and Nelly are taken their rekindled romance to new heights following reports that they are currently expecting their first bundle of joy together!
According to U.S Weekly, a source close to the couple has confirmed the big news in an issued statement. “Nelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together.”
The couple sparked rumors over the weekend after both Nelly and Ashanti continuously rubbed her stomach while on stage together at his Black and White ball in St. Louis.
In a shared video online captured by a fan, Ashanti can be seen in an all-black evening gown accompanied by a silver embroidery in the center of her dress that both she and Nelly continuously rubbed as she sang her hit song ‘Only U’. Each time they reached for her stomach both of them blushed with happiness.
As we previously reported Ashanti and Nelly came back into each other’s lives for the first time in ten years after their breakup in 2010. Back in September Nelly confirmed that they were seeing one another again following an appearance on Rasheeda Frost’s talk show Boss Moves with Rasheeda’
“Yeah, we cool again.” said the 49 year old. “..surprised both of us though,” he added, “It wasn’t anything that I don’t think was planned.”
A source close to Ashanti also told U.S Weekly back in September that the two reconnecting happened naturally and was a surprise to them both. “A few years ago, Ashanti never would’ve imagined reconciling with Nelly, but they’re enjoying spending time together,” adding, “They don’t want to rush anything.”
