Trader Joe’s Issues Recall On Soup, Cookies And Falafels Following Possible Detection Of Rocks And Insects!

Cousins! The supermarket chain of Trader Joe’s has been quite busy lately as they’ve issued a series of recalls on some of their most popular food items following an alarming discovery of possible rocks and insects!

According to CNN, the retailer has issued a total of four recalls within the extent of seven days. Their first recall pertained to two cookie products following the possible detection of rocks.

The following week in a statement issued on Thursday, July 27th, Trader Joe’s declared that their Unexpected Broccoli Cheddar Soup – with use-by dates of 07/18/23 through 09/15/23 – may contain insects. On Friday they issued an additional warning that their Fully Cooked Falafel product may also contain rocks.

It has been stated that all of the potentially affected products have since been removed from store shelves and destroyed, reports NBC News.

“If you purchased or received any donations of Fully Cooked Falafel, please do not eat them. We urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund,” the announcement said.

“We will never leave to chance the safety of the products we offer. We err on the side of caution and are proactive in addressing issues. We take action quickly, aggressively investigating potential problems and removing product from sale if there is any doubt about its safety or quality,” the statement said.

“We don’t wait for regulatory agencies to tell us what to do. We share news through in-store signs, on our website, and through email alerts as soon as we need to let our customers know there might be a concern with any of our products. We take these matters seriously — personally, even, as our families eat and drink TJ’s products, too.”
