Cousins! We’re celebrating 50 years of Hip-Hop in the city where it all began, live in New York City!
Officially declared the hottest event of the summer, Culture’s Biggest Brunch and Block Party presented by BET took place Saturday, June 24th from 12-5 PM, hosted by legendary Harlem rapper Juelz Santana.

In gathering some of the most influential voices in journalism, digital media, radio, and music the brunch was evenly layered with creatives from the city that never sleeps.
Attendees were able to sip complimentary mimosas and indulge in light bites like classic brunch favorites from chicken and waffles, to shrimp and grits, courtesy of Southern soul food restaurant Blvd Bistro located on Fredrick Douglass blvd in Harlem. Including desserts from beloved bakery Make My Cake beautifully decorated in celebration of the BET Awards.
Along with an epic set list of music dedicated to five decades worth of Hip Hop orchestrated by Dj Paul, attendees gainedthe opportunity to drop a quick freestyle in BET’s signature Rap City booth.

The vibes didn’t end there as the sunny Saturday afternoon continued with surprise guest appearances from local Hip Hop legends, freestyle battles, networking, and giveaways all in the name of Black Excellency.
“Hip Hop serves as one of the most influential genres of music on the planet. No matter where you experience it or even hear it for the first time. It is a continuous driving force that shall last forever,” declared DJ Hollywood.

“ Harlem has always been known for Black presence and we’re trying to keep it that way,” said Juelz.
