Cousins! Exciting news is on the way as Hip Hop icon Tupac Shakur will be honored posthumously with a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles!
Tupac has been assigned the 2,758th star to be featured within the recording category. According to USA Today, Tupac’s sister Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur will accept the honor on his behalf; with radio personality Big Boy emceeing the event.
Amongst the most of attendeees wil be guest speakers such director Allen Hughes alongside executive producer Jamal Joseph of the FX docu-series “Dear Mama: The Saga of Afeni and Tupac Shakur”.
“This iconic artist has continued to be part of the zeitgeist for decades after his passing and will continue to be an important cultural figure for many years to come,” said Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, within a recently issued news release.
“Surely, as one of L.A.’s own, Tupac’s star will be added to the list of most visited stars.”
Despite Tupac’s life being tragically cut short, his career has succeed within influence over the last three decades. His  1996 album “All Eyez on Me” has gone certified diamond with hit songs such as “How Do U Want It,” “California Love (Remix)” and “I Ain’t Mad at Cha.”
Tupac was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame back in 2017.
The Walk of Fame ceremony is scheduled 10:30 a.m. PT on June 7 on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
