Cousins! While singer and actress Serayah took to Instagram live to celebrate with fans upon her latest released single and to announce an official listening party in ATL she was bombed with questions and a lotta shade following the release of a photo with her and Joey Bad A$$!
Within the Sunday Instagram live conversation amongst fans and internet trolls, not only did she warn people to fall back and mind their own business; Serayah also confirmed that she is no longer dating fellow actor Jacob Latimore.
According to The Shaderoom Serayah exclusively stated that her and Jacob split after more than five years together. “ Me and Jacob are no longer together. Sadly we just grew apart and I love and respect his journey.”
In the last few years Serayah and Jacob shared a series of heartwarming moments from romantic date nights to dance challenges on TikTok to even creating music together. Social media began to buzz that the couple had split back in August after his birthday rolled around and folks noticed she didn’t post him.
The couple met in 2016 after being introduced to one another at the BET Awards through a mutual friend.
Now you have to be living under a rock if you didn’t know Joey has been a major hit with the ladies in recent years. He is a triple threat with a career in music, fashion and acting especially within his beloved role of ‘Unique’ apart of the hit Starz series ‘Raising Kanan’. The Brooklyn, New York native is a fan favorite so it’s definitely expected that folks got more than a little upset when a photo of Serayah and Joey cozied up hit the internet.
As more and more social media users caught wind of the photo the comments issued during Serayah’s live had gotten exceedingly vicious. It wasn’t long before the former ‘Empire’ actress stated, “ Relax. This is not a reality TV show boo-boo.”
She concluded her Instagram live in saying, “People think it is so easy to get on a platform and start talking s**t. But you wouldn’t like that done to you. So I’m just saying simmer down. That’s it. Like everyone be nice and worry about their own business”
Despite circulated speculation neither Joey or Serayah have confirmed whether they are in an official relationship or not.
