Cousins! Let the countdown begin as we prepare to have our socks knocked off by the original bad gal!

In conversation with Apple Music, Rihanna dished exclusive detail in how she prepared for her highly anticipated Super Bowl half-time performance. She also explained the challenges faced within narrowing down her complete catalogue to adjust to the 13 minute time slot. “…. “there’s probably about 39 versions of the setlist right now.”

Rihanna spoke freely about motherhood, her relationship with A$AP Rocky, continuously building her cosmetics empire alongside her signature lingerie line and working on new projects. As we all know it’s been a hot minute since Rih has blessed us with some new music, despite releasing the beloved ballad ‘Lift me up,’ apart of the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ soundtrack. “Musically I’m feeling open,” said Rihanna.

“I’m feeling open to exploring, discovering, creating things that are new, things that are different, things that are off, weird, might not ever make sense to my fans, the people that know the music I’ve put out. I just want to play. I want to have fun with the music.” That sounds like it could lead to something cool, but also: I want to hear all that music she was working on five years ago!”

According to Stereogum, Rihanna’s fanbase has been long awaiting a follow up project to her Anti album, with the believed titled name ‘R9’. It has been indicated that back in 2019 the 34 year old confirmed ‘R9’ would be a reggae album. However there has been much discussed of if the expected project is still in the works.

Cousins, be sure to tune into Super Bowl LVII on Sunday February 12th at 630PM EST live from Arizona. Let us know in the comments which songs you’d love to hear Rih perform and artists you think sis should bring on stage with her! 👇🏿
