50 Cent Speaks On Mo’Nique being Black Balled For 13 Years Within The Industry And Reveals A Conversation He Had With Tyler Perry!

Cousins! In a newly released interview multi-hyphenated boss 50 Cent addresses cancel culture while questioning why do folks cancel anyone who is actually here for the advancement of the culture!

In conversation with Big Boy of ‘Big Boy’s Neighborhood’ radio show, 50 speaks on the confusion he had surrounding legendary comedian Mo’Nique and her thirteen year run of being Black-balled within the entertainment industry.

“You don’t worry about cancel culture huh ?” questioned Big Boy.

“ Huh? Why would you cancel things that are great for the culture? “ 50 responded. “ Like cancel Mo’Nique, why is she cancelled? I had to revisit that.”

“Because it didn’t make sense to me Big. I’m like ‘what did she do, did she say something you didn’t like?’ so she didn’t work for thirteen years after that.” He continued, “And I know Tyler ( Perry ) wouldn’t like support that. He never told anyone not to work with her.”

The Southside Jamaica, Queens native rapper reveals that he had a conversation with Tyler in regards to Mo’Nique being cancelled also. “When I talked to him he was like ‘nah I never told anyone not to work with her.’ “

“And I said ‘but you’re Tyler Perry and you never told anyone to work with her .’ “ 50 says explained that Tyler admitted he ‘never looked at it like that.’

“ Because I said ‘ you gotta consider how strong your influence is at that point’ because it hasn’t happened.”

As we previously reported back in 2020 Mo’Nique called out Tyler, pushing for an apology in response to watching fellow actors Janet Hubert and Will Smith come together mend their broken relationship after thirty years.

“Perhaps Tyler Perry, who has admitted in private that he was wrong will follow suit & be man enough to apologize in public like he promised. We’ll work on Oprah & Lions Gate a little later.”

She continued in a post to social media , “P.S. Tyler you won E! PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD for being the peoples champ for your body of work. Tell the truth about a women named Mo’Nique who did nothing wrong & be a champion for the individuals who supported your career for years….THE BLACK WOMEN…PLEASE SWIPE TO HEAR TYLER PERRY SAY IT WITH HIS OWN WORDS.”

We’re not sure what the status of Tyler and Mo’Nique’s relationship is at this time, however she has mended things with fellow director Lee Daniels back in 2022 after a long-standing feud dated back to 2009.
