Cousins! Fans and fellow celebrities have taken to social media with an outpour of love following the tragic passing of Memphis native rapper Gangsta Boo !
According to reports from TMZ, the 43 year old’s passing may be drug related. It appears that she was in Memphis visiting family over the weekend and had attended a local concert with her sibling on New Year’s Eve.
It has been indicated that Boo’s brother began to overdose later in the night, ultimately ending up in the hospital. He has been confirmed as being okay.
The outlet says that a close related source has come forward in saying there were narcotics discovered at the location of Boo’s death. With a fentanyl-laced substance believed to be cause of the beloved artist’s death.
Nothing has been confirmed at this time as an official police investigation is underway and an official autopsy has not yet been completed.
Gangsta Boo’s impactful legacy began within the late 90’s as she became an official member of the fan favorite rap group Three 6 Mafia. She is noted as being an official pioneer within the female rap game with her signature style of rhyming and even after leaving Three 6 Mafia in the 2000s went on to have an impactful career.
