Cousins! The New York Police Department has seemingly gotten a step further in identifying a group of people responsible for dragging a 25 year old woman by her neck as she waited alone within a subway station!
According to Pix 11, a mother has turned in her 16 year old son who is currently being accused of participating within the senseless act. The incident is said to have occurred on Sunday December 3rd within the southbound No. 2 train platform at Grand Army Plaza subway station in Park Slope.
Reports read that the 16 year old was allegedly apart of the group of people that dragged the young woman. She is said to have been sitting on a bench alone at 12:45AM when the group surrounded her and dragged her. They are said to have then fled the scene.
Local news from The Patch, confirm that a video shows an older man within the group appearing to direct others in the group. Officials believe the signaling of the chokehold was part of some sort of gang initiation.
Police have stated that the unreleased video shows that the arrested teen is the person responsible for strangling the woman.
Other members of the group have not yet been identified as the investigation remains underway.

Officials have not released the woman’s name. She is said to have been treated at the scene by paramedics.
The teen’s mom brought him in to a the 78th precinct Wednesday evening around 7 p.m. He has since been charged with strangulation.
