Cousins! The CDC has issued a direct warning to New York City residents following an alarming spike in Covid-19 cases recently!
The newly issued report details that four out of the five boroughs within New York City have experienced a spike with residents testing positive for Covid-19.
According to Pix 11 news The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island have been identified as being within orange states means they display high risk levels. Data shows that the borough of Manhattan is currently in yellow which stands for medium risk levels.
Since last week data shows that Queens has seen a rough estimate of a 16% increase in positive cases through Friday. Both the Bronx and Brooklyn are nearing 14%. While Staten Island is approximately 12%.
Reports read that Long Island is also experiencing a surge in cases which has led to the CDC to recommending residents to wear masks while indoors and while traveling on public transit in Suffolk and Nassau counties. Recently obtained data shows Nassau and Suffolk both saw a 13% increase in positive cases.
New York City is also currently seeing a wave of both the Flu and Respiratory Syncytial Virus cases which have had hospital inpatient care through the rough.
