Cousins! The fashion brand of Balenciaga has kicked off their Friday in announcing they are officially dropping Kanye West following his recent antisemitic comments on social media as well as additional controversial statements in the media!
According to reports from CNN , the decision was confirmed through a forwarded statement from a parent company of Balenciaga’s. “Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist.”
Things were seemingly all good not too long ago as Ye had paired up with Balenciaga to collaborate for his Yeezy x Gap line. The Gap deal was to range over the next 10 years, however the Chicago native made it clear back in September that he was ending the partnership based on, “substantial noncompliance”.
Reports read that the athletic brand of Adidas is also currently reviewing their longtime relationship with Ye. It has been stated that things have gotten intense between them as well.
The father of four verified instagrams and Twitter accounts were restricted earlier this month for going against policy guidelines. As we previously reported Ye has been in hot water since tweeting his plans of, “going death con 3 [sic] On JEWISH PEOPLE.”
Appearing in an one on one sit down with Piers Morgan earlier this week, Ye doubled down on his comments. He made it clear that he had an objective, however he ultimately apologized for the families that he’s hurt also.
