Solo artist and former Destiny’s Child member LeToya Luckett, took us down memory lane as she shares with fans how her and Beyoncé met and it’s looking like fate. She shares that the two met in elementary school after Beyonce sat in her seat!

LeToya recently visited her St. James Elementary school in Houston, Texas and gave insight on the memories of her childhood.

LeToya shared she first attended the school at three years old and was a known student. Beyonce was a new student at the time happened to sit in LeToya’s seat. That’s when LeToya then went to their teacher and said Bey was misplaced and was in her seat. The teacher however shut Letoya down and told her to find another seat because she’s late.

Within a video posted to her YouTube channel recently, Letoya explains how the two built a friendship and later made their dreams come as kids within the music industry.

The ‘Where It All Started’ video shows how her and her groupmate manifested their dreams as young kids into a colossal accomplishment as Destiny’s Child at the 7:06 mark. After the seat incident, LeToya and Beyonce became friends. Beyonce asked LeToya to audition for her father’s new girl group.

Post-Destiny’s Child, LeToya shared that during her Destiny’s Child journey, they accomplished four No. 1 hits and did worldwide tours and she explained how she wanted a different management opposite of Beyonce’s father Matthew, which led her to be dismissed from the group. LeToya also gave insight about her past setbacks, telling how she was once homeless while searching for acting gigs.

LeToya is now a mother of two children, three released albums, made the big screens and is continuing her career on the screen with her own show Leave it to LeToya on LeToya Luckett – YouTube
