After his Astroworld Festival went haywire, Travis Scott put efforts into making amends with the world!

 The rapper’s attempt to right his wrongs created a charity called Project H.E.A.L. Moreover, its “set to give money for mental health services and other community projects.” His charity has funded several HBCUs, scholarships, and other youth organizations. 

Scott’s statement about Project H.E.A.L reads, 

“My grandfather was an educator who made a difference in thousands of young lives throughout his life. He is a major influence on me and countless others, whose dreams he believed in, whose hopes he invested in, and whose futures he made big.”

“It’s in his spirit that we are creating projects and programs that will look to the future of our communities and create hope and excellence in as many lives as possible.”

More recently, the “Sicko Mode” rapper’s Project HEAL obtained proceeds from his collaboration with Nike. He intends to keep this initiative going with his partnership with Dior. His Dior-themed sneakers cost around $1,450.00. There is both a high-top and a low-top design for the said design.

Travis Scott and Dior’s collaboration was meant to drop earlier this year but was slated due to the tragic event.

The statement reads: “Out of respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld, Dior has decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in its summer 2022 collection.” 

According to HotNewHipHop, UTOPIA is also releasing sometime soon.

A Houston pastor named Reverend Dr. D.Z. Cofield said about Project H.E.A.L:

“At a time when the Black community is still struggling to overcome the twin crises of the pandemic and racial injustice, and all their negative impacts on our physical, financial, mental and spiritual health, Travis is providing unmatched assistance with HEAL. I applaud him for doing what his community needs at such a critical time.”
