Benzino has made headlines again this week after turning himself in following a dated altercation with his ex girlfriend Althea Heart!

According to reports from All Hip Hop , Benzino had gotten into a tussle with Althea and her boyfriend in July of 2020. Footage from the incident was uploaded to social media recently and immediately went viral. The couple also claims the former Source magazine owner punched his truck.

In an exclusive interview with the outlet Benzino breaks down the situation in saying, “I was kind of arguing with the guy she was with at the time. Long story short, the case was like two years ago, and somebody put that old video up, and it got me kind of arguing with him.”

Though he was ordered to attend court back in April through a Zoom call, Benzino states he was unable to because he tested positive for Covid. “So I have to turn myself in on Monday to the fugitive squad.”

It appears that this is far from Benzion’s first run in with the law. Check out his previous rap sheet:

• In 2015, he was arrested at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport after trying to board a plane with a loaded gun.

• Two years later, Georgia authorities executed a search warrant on his home and discovered 22 grams of THC oil gummies, six MDMA pills and less than an ounce of weed. He was arrested once again and charged with felony drug possession.

• He was later arrested for an outstanding warrant after he failed to show up to court for a traffic violation. In police body came footage of the original arrest, Benzino was furious at the police and questioned why he was getting a ticket.
