A new era is amongst us and the artist formally known as Diddy is the face of it. The Bad Boy CEO has not only inked a major deal with the iconic Motown records embarking on his return to music, he’s also launching an all new record label!

According to Page Six, Diddy’s label is influenced after his 2017 name change of “Love Records”.

“Music has always been my first love,” said Diddy in a recent press release. “Love Records is the next chapter. [It’s] about getting back to the love and making the best music of my life.”

Diddy retired from music back in 2016 following the release of his last album, “No Way Out 2”. He says that with his new label he’s ready to enjoy music again and that Love Records, “will be dedicated to R&B music and will release singles and collaborative projects from a collective of world-class artists, producers and songwriters.”

He continues,“For the label I’m focused on creating timeless R&B music with the next generation of artists and producers. Motown is the perfect partner for my album and I’m excited to add to its legacy.”

“This is a major moment for Motown, as Diddy is one of this century’s most important voices in music and culture… To be a part of his next evolution and album is nothing short of monumental,” says Motown CEO and chair Ethiopia Habtemariam.
