23 Year Old Law Student Passes Away After Eating ‘Cannabis Infused Gummy’

We are sending our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of a 23 year old Law student that sadly passed away recently after eating what she believed was a cannabis infused gummy!

Damilola Olakanmi and her 21 year old friend ordered a batch of gummies from “Trrlli Peachie O” through a messaging app last Tuesday. According to BBC News, both of the friends ate one and immediately felt uneasy. They were flown by an air ambulance to a hospital located in east London where Damilola passed away on Saturday. The second woman was discharged following treatment.


South Norwood resident Leon Brown, 37 has been arrested in connection to the tragic incident. Reports read that he has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class B synthetic cannbinoid, being concerned in the supply of a synthetic cannabinoid and possession with intent to supply a psychoactive substance.

Met Police state when they arrested Leon he had a large amount of cash and edible cannabis products.

Officials are currently investigating if any other fatal cases have occurred from folks that may have purchased infused sweets from Leon or any other similar products.


Sources confirm a woman was taken to the hospital after feeling unwell back in March after eating a cannabis treat. She was later discharged.

Damolia’s mother Wumi Olakanmi has been left with a broken heart as she was her only child.

One of Damolia’s relatives identified as Richard Taylor tells local news, Richard Taylor “Wumi has lost her only child—she has nothing now. They had to hold her up because she broke down every time a friend came to the house to give support.

“It’s a tragic warning to all young people about how they live their lives. They should resist drugs. Damilola was a promising young woman who should be looking forward to her future and having children of her own. She was studying law.”
