A Florida judge has officially tossed out a lawsuit forwarded by George Zimmerman accusing the parents of the late Trayvon Martin of defamation and conspiracy!
George was wrongfully acquitted of all charges 9 years ago after gunning down an unarmed Trayvon in cold blood. The trial swept the nation as it brought direct attention to the issues of race and Florida’s ‘stand your ground’ law. Which allows residents the ability to use force if they feel threatened.
According to NBC News, Tallahassee Judge John Cooper in Tallahassee recently dismissed all counts against all defendants in Zimmerman’s lawsuit against Sybrina Fulton, Tracy Martin and their attorney Ben Crump.
Judge Cooper states he failed to show evidence of any fraudulent representation. “There can be no claim for conspiracy to defraud if there is no adequately stated claim for fraud.”
The suit filed nearly two weeks ago reads that, Brittany Diamond Eugene didn’t want to testify that she had been talking to Martin before he was killed. So her half-sister, Rachel Jeantel, pretended that she was talking to the teen before he was fatally shot. Jeantel ended up testifying at Zimmerman’s 2013 trial in Sanford, Florida.
The suit also claims that Trayvon‘s parents, alongside Crump, participated in the conspiracy of pushing for charges against Zimmerman, to have him convicted in attempt to “destroy his good will and reputation in the community.” He states that they also identified him as a racist murderer that racially profiled Martin.
