Cousins!

It’s only been a few weeks since the shocking passing of one of the most iconic figures in fashion and art, Virgil Abloh. Since his devastating passing there has been talks of who the late designer’s next successor will be and word on the street is it may be a well known dude from Chicago with with an eye for fashion himself!

According to HighSnobiety, rumors are swirling around that the artist formally known as as Kanye West will be taking over for Virgil at Louis Vuitton.

As reported by the Sun, “[Kanye] is being tipped to take over from Virgil Abloh. The pair are said to have masterminded the move… before Virgil’s death aged just 41.”

An anonymous source says, “They shared a similar vision and now Kanye feels he owes it to Virgil to continue his work at Louis Vuitton.”

As of right now nothing has officially been confirmed by Ye or Louis Vuitton only word of mouth on social media at this point. Also, there is a possibility that the rapper could be tied-up with another fashion brand, as Ye is already paired up with folks at Adidas and The Gap.

Virgil passed away on November 28 after privately battling a rare form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma, for two years. He was only 41 years old.

Virgil and Kanye became friends back in 2009 as they both worked as interns for Italian luxury brand Fendi in Rome, Italy; reports the Daily Mail. The two have maintained a 12 year relationship since then. Virgil was also named creative director for Ye’s content company Donda in 2010.

Cousins, what do you think? Should LV bring Kanye in or find another designer?
