Cousins!
We imagine Sunday service to hit a little different these days following reports of a one of a kind discovery by a contractor at the popular pastor Joel Osteen‘s church!
Over 500 envelopes stuffed with cash and checks were found hidden behind the wall of the Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas reports News One.
A hired plumber came through with all the details recently as he called into a local morning radio show explaining how exactly he found the money while working on November 10th.
The unidentified man tells KILT-FM radio that,” There was a loose toilet in the wall, and we removed the tile.”
He continues, “We went to go remove the toilet, and I moved some insulation away and about 500 envelopes fell out of the wall, and I was like ‘Oh, wow!'”
“I went ahead and contacted the maintenance supervisor that was there, and I turned it all in.”
Sources have confirmed that a total of the amount of money found hasn’t been disclosed to the public. But officials believe it may be tied to the mysterious 2014 disappearance of over $600,000 stolen from the Lakewood Church in a brazen heist.
A mix of monetary items, $200,000 in cash and $400,000 in checks, were stolen from a safe, as well as secure credit card information from members of the church.
