The Hulu original series Wu-Tang: An American Saga has officially been renewed for a third and final season!

Wu-Tang: An American Saga is a fictionalized drama about the Wu- Tang Clan, says Allhiphop.com. The show covers their origins, giving fans a glimpse of the group’s lives before they became Hip Hop superstars.

The scripted series was created by Wu-Tang co-founder RZA and writer Alex Tse. Method Man also serves as one of the show’s executive producers. The series was picked up by Hulu in 2018 then debuted in 2019.

No episode count for the third season has been revealed at this time, but the first two each featured 10 episodes. The show’s cast includes Shameik Moore, who plays Raekwon, Ashtons Sanders, who plays RZA, Dave East, who plays Method Man. Joey Badass portrayed as Inspectah Deck in the first season but was replaced by Uyoata Udi.

During an exclusive interview with Vibe magazine, Siddiq Saunderson, who plays the role of Ghostface Killah expressed, “I think things happen the way they’re meant to happen. I think my energy lends itself more towards Ghostface Killah than anybody.” Initially he auditioned for the role of RZA. “I completely understand him. I try to honor the script as much as I can and honor the version of the story that we were telling and from that version, I always understood where he was coming from.”

TJ Atoms, who plays the role of Ol’ Dirty Bastard, expressed during the interview that his actual struggle to deal with life in the inner city motivated him professionally and shaped his portrayal of the indelible Shimmy Shimmy Ya spitter. “Man, it was super difficult trying to imitate ODB. For one, it’s like ODB, so there’s a lot of pressure to really know the character. I feel like my whole thing was, I was coming from

the hood basically. A lot of the shit that we are doing on the show, I did in real life. So, it was like, you know what I’m saying? It’s like it was an authentic portrayal.”

Season 2 of the series debuted on October 27th, streaming on Hulu.
