The Riverside Hotel in Bosie is not here for the shenanigans, and we can not blame them. The hotel group recently canceled an event scheduled at its residence, when they learned George Zimmerman would be speaking!
Why would the organizers schedule Zimmerman to speak at anything? Since being found not guilty, Zimmerman has been very busy.
The gathering, at the Lethal Force Gun Laws 2021 Tactics & Strategies Conference, thought it was a good idea to book Zimmerman, but the hotel disagreed.
According to the New York Daily News, the hotel removed the event after learning about its “incendiary details” on social media. The hotel owners cited the reason for its cancelation by stating the “immense pain” Zimmerman caused its “guests, team-members and community”.
The hotel is referring to the incident where Zimmerman gunned down unarmed Trayvon Martin in February of 2012.
Reportedly in a statement, the hotel says, “With their respect and safety as our priority, we have canceled the event. “We are unequivocally opposed to providing George Zimmerman a platform, and he is not welcome at The Riverside Hotel”.
The event was sponsored by the Washington state-based organization called Old School Gun School. The entry fee was $5,000, and the advertisement for the conference asked, “Have you ever wondered what really happened that night?”
That is crazy because we all know what happened that night. It is clear as day. I do not understand why these organizations keep booking Zimmerman based on a murder he committed. If you ask me, this does not make any sense.
