In efforts of reducing citywide gun violence in San Francisco officials have created a newly proposed program with the initiative of paying residents not to shoot at one another!

Within the Dream Keeper Fellowship, city officials seek to scout out residents who are possibly at high risk of being involved in a shooting as a victim or shooter reports KTVU2.

The pilot program is set to pay a total of 10 residents $300 dollars a month in exchange of them vowing not to participate any crimes involving a firearm.

Sources have confirmed that the same ten people will also be eligible for an additional $200 a month if they properly reach the forwarded goals set by the program.

Each individual will be assigned a life coach within the fellowship as well.

Collected data shows that there had been a total of 119 gun violence crimes in San Francisco in the first six months of 2021.

Reports show that the number of gun violence crimes are double compared to last year’s records within the same time frame.
