A New Orleans dispatcher is currently wanted for arrest following accusations that she purposely disconnected numerous emergency calls without obtaining necessary information or relaying details to others in order for them to gain assistance.

Precious Stephens, 25 is wanted for charges of malfeasance in office and unlawfully performing a job in public service reports Katctv3 .

Reports from the Communication District on August 23, Precious purposely acted and disconnected 911 calls without obtaining vital information or informing other dispatchers about the callers.

Those calls have been identified as coming from callers that were in need of help in Orleans Parish.

She has since been fired from her position as a Dispatcher. As of Thursday evening officials have confirmed that Precious hasn’t been arrested as of yet.

If convicted she could face up to five years in prison.

Police officials are requesting for anyone with information upon Precious whereabouts to please contact Crime-stoppers at (504) 822-1111 as tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward.
