Things are getting extremely real in the field as a recently issued NYC mandate is now requiring proof of Covid-19 vaccinations to enter indoor businesses!

From gyms, bars, restaurants, entertainment venues and more New Yorkers are now required to show proof upon entry says Mayor Bill de Blasio today.

According to Pix11 in order to gain entry to these establishments, residentd must present their paper COVID-19 vaccination card, the state-run Excelsior Pass or the city’s vaccine passport app.

de Blasio says the “Key to NYC Pass,” program is set to debut Aug. 16 and will be enforced by the city will beginning on Sept. 13.

“This is crucial because we know it will encourage a lot more vaccinations,” de Blasio states. “If we’re going to stop the delta variant, the time is now. We have to do something different if we want to make an impact.”

He continues, “If you want to do any of these wonderful activities indoors, go get vaccinated, at least one dose. If you’re not willing to get vaccinated, then you’re not going to be participating in either the work or the enjoyment of all these places,”
