Sha’Carri Richardson Reportedly Failed Drug Test, May Be Forced To Miss Out On Tokyo Olympics!

Athletic track star Sha’Carri Richardson is currently trending throughout social media following reports that she tested positive for marijuana which may result in her having to sit out of the Tokyo Olympics!

According to Bleacher Report, Sha’Carri is reportedly facing a 30-day suspension after testing positive for what has been classified as substance abuse.

As we previously reported the 21 year old sprinter wowed the world after running a 10.86 final at the U.S. Olympic Trials last month making her more than qualified for the 2020 games in the 100-meter dash.

The Texas native also made history with the sixth-fastest time in the history of the 100-meter, with a personal best of 10.72 back in April.

Sources have confirmed that “traces of the substance” were discovered in Sha’Carri ‘s sample collected at the Olympic Trials. However it doesn’t automatically mean she will be suspended.

Sha’Carri hasn’t publicly addressed circulating reports as of yet however she has withdrew from Sunday’s Diamond League Meeting in Stockholm where she was suppose to run the 200 meters race. She also took to Twitter to tweet, “ I am human.”
