Popular movie theater chains of AMC, Regal and Cinemark have recently announced that they are officially dropping the mandatory mask order for vaccinated customers only!
According to The Hill all three theaters have indicated that they will continue to practice social distancing and cleaning measurements.
“In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are not required for guests who are fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated, we ask that you continue to wear a mask throughout the theater unless actively enjoying food or drinks,” reads a statement from the AMC website.
Sources have confirmed that the change was announced following the CDC’s new guidance report issued for vaccinated people resuming normal habits and not needing to wear masks in numerous public settings.
“With rapid improvements in COVID-19 case rates, increasingly widespread vaccinations, and recent CDC guidance that vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks or socially distance, the movie theatre industry will continue to meet or exceed state and local public health guidelines,” reads a forwarded statement from Regal.
