Cousins!
Verzuz co-creator Swizz Beatz has officially called #JustinTimberlake center stage to tap into the cultural festivities!
Within the official rematch between Swizz and Timberland over memorial weekend he had a few choice words for the former boy band member turned solo artist. “Justin gotta come out, he’s comin.”
During the battle Timberland played numerous hit singles he produced for Justin that sparked the conversation.
“He gotta admit that he love the Black culture and he gotta be on this stage,” said Swizz inviting Justin to participate in an upcoming Verzuz battle.
“You took from the Black culture, you give to the Black culture! Come to Verzuz and be a part of the Black culture!”
Despite Swizz’s want for Justin to come out and be apart of a Verzuz battle, social media users have indicated that they are not here for it.
Timberland later addressed Swizz comments as they both appeared on live.
“You did went a little hard on my brother JT though. You went too hard, man,” said Timb.
“Look, man, I had to go hard. Did you hear how them songs were sounding on that stage? You and JT, it was like JT was in the building. I was like, man!” explained Swizz on him calling out Justin.
He went on to say that it was all in good fun and they that the two don’t have an issue.
“I don’t got no problem with JT. I don’t got no problem with nobody,” Swizz said Timbaland. “Shout out to JT, we can’t wait to get you on stage having fun, ’cause you deserve it too.”
